Dilweg Hires COO and Legal Counsel

DURHAM, N.C. (Oct. 07, 2014) – The Dilweg Companies today announced that Jeffrey Benson and Nikki Matthews have joined the company.

Jeff Benson will serve as executive vice president, chief operating officer and general counsel. In this role, he will be responsible for providing strategic direction, implementing operating plans and overseeing all legal matters.

Nikki Matthews will serve as senior legal specialist. She will be responsible for assisting in legal matters, due diligence and lease administration.

Prior to joining The Dilweg Companies, Benson served as a partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton for more than 20 years. He also served as the head of the firm’s real estate department. He received his J.D. and M.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and a B.A. in History from Middlebury College.

Nikki Matthews previously served as a paralegal at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton.

Dilweg recently reacquired Capital Center and purchased a twelve-building office portfolio in the Triangle consisting of 773,000 square feet for $89.5M.
